Updated October 25, 2026

Click New quote on the Quotes page, pick the customer, add your lines and click Save. Then click Email and Send the quote. The customer gets a link to read it and accept it online.

Also called: estimate, bid, proposal, price quote, soumission, devis, estimation, envoyer une soumission

Step 1: Start the quote

Open Quotes and click New quote (the + on a phone). Type a name, phone or email to find the customer, then click them. The quote opens right away as a Draft, with its own number.

You can also start from the customer's record: click New › Quote.

Click: Quotes › New quote › the customer

Step 2: Add what you'll do

Click Add a line and fill in Description, Qty and Price. Detail (optional) adds a smaller line under it. To use a price you saved, click From my prices and pick the service. The pencil next to it (Edit my prices) changes your prices.

Each line has a Billed choice: Once, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly, for a maintenance plan. Note for the customer is printed at the bottom. The total, the subtotal and the taxes on the right update as you type. Save shows up as soon as you change something: at the top right on a computer, in the bar at the bottom of the screen on a phone.

Click: Add a line › Save

Step 3: Check what the customer sees

Click the eye (Preview) next to the quote's number. You see the quote as your customer gets it: your business name, the customer, each line, the taxes and the total. Click Print if you want a paper copy or a PDF.

Click: Preview

Step 4: Email it

On a saved draft, Email is the blue button (in the bottom bar on a phone). Click it. The Preview before sending window shows who it goes to, the subject and the message. The customer's own link is added when it is sent. Click Send the quote.

You see Quote sent, and the quote turns Sent. It now counts in Awaiting reply on the Quotes page, and its main button becomes Mark accepted. To send it again, click the envelope next to the quote's number.

Click: Email › Send the quote

Good to know

  • Save first: Email is greyed out while the quote has unsaved changes.

  • On a computer, each row of the Quotes page shows the quote's next step: Email for a draft, Mark accepted for a sent quote.

  • You can ask Ask Alori to write a quote for you, for example "New quote for Sarah Chen, AC tune-up". It makes a draft; you check it and send it.

  • The email goes in the customer's language when you set one on their record.

If it doesn't work

  • "Add a customer first." You have no customers yet. Add one, then click New quote again.

  • Email is greyed out with "This customer has no email." Add an email on the customer's record, then try again.

  • "Out of credits. Add credits in Alori to send email." Add credits in Alori, then send again.

  • "Too many emails sent this hour. Try again later." Wait a little, then send again.

  • "Email isn't set up on this app yet. Publish or rebuild it, then try again." Publish your app from Alori, then try again.

  • "Reconnect Gmail in Settings to send from your address." Go to Settings, reconnect Gmail, then send again.

  • "Couldn't send. Try again." Nothing went out. Try again in a moment.
