How do I ask questions about a past meeting?

Open the meeting, choose Questions beside the transcript, and type your question. Alori answers from what was said, for example the next steps or a follow-up email.

Updated October 25, 2026

Open the meeting, choose Questions beside the transcript (a tab under the video on a phone), and type your question. Alori answers from what was said: the next steps, what you decided, or a follow-up email ready to send.

Also called: ask AI, meeting assistant, question about a call, follow-up email, poser une question sur une réunion, courriel de suivi, prochaines étapes

Step 1: Open the meeting

In the menu, open Meetings. Past meetings are listed newest first; search by title, customer or anything that was said, and click the meeting.

Click: Meetings › the meeting › Questions

Step 2: Ask your question

Under Ask about this meeting, click an idea: What are the next steps?, What did we decide? or Write a follow-up email. Or type in Ask anything about this meeting and click Ask. To speak instead, click the mic (Say your question): your words fill the box, then click Ask when it's right.

Click: Ask about this meeting › Ask

Step 3: Keep going

Alori shows Thinking…, then the answer. Ask more: it remembers the conversation while the page is open.

Good to know

  • Asking works once the meeting has a transcript or a summary. It's there for recorded meetings and imported ones, and only for meetings you can see.

  • Ask Alori finds past calls too: "What did we talk about with the Gagnons last week?"

If it doesn't work

  • "Couldn't answer. Try again." Click Ask again.

  • "You're out of credits." Add credits.

  • No Ask about this meeting. The meeting has no transcript or summary yet. Wait for Summary ready.
